Shaina Pan is a multi-instrumentalist and composer based in Oakland, CA. Shaina holds degrees in Violin Performance and English from Indiana University, and completed graduate studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. An advocate for music by living composers, Shaina has worked with artists such as Meredith Monk, Terry Riley, and the Kronos Quartet. She has performed with the IU New Music Ensemble, Atlantic Music Festival Contemporary Ensemble, San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, The Orchestra Now, and Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra. Shaina released her debut solo EP "plainsongs" in 2022.
Corina Santos is a violinist and music educator based in San Francisco, CA. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a master's degree from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. Corina is a faculty member of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's Pre-College, and maintains a studio of private students in the Bay Area. She has performed as a soloist with the Austin Civic Orchestra and has worked with acclaimed musicians including Danielle Belen, Sally O'Reilly, Kikuei Ikeda, the Juilliard String Quartet, and the Miró Quartet. When she is not playing or teaching, Corina enjoys latin dancing, listening to podcasts, and visiting San Francisco's many parks.
This performance is held in conjunction with ROUNDCOLLAB's inaugural exhibition at Minnesota Street Project "Embrace," featuring eleven artists from Asia whose artworks address and embrace the imperfect world we live in.
